Custom GRP Scrubber Vessel – Industrial Facility, Australia
Industrial Fibreglass Solutions (IFS) designed and manufactured a custom GRP fibreglass scrubber vessel for a facility in Australia, supplying a critical component of a wider air pollution control system.
IFS was engaged to provide the fabrication, and supply of the GRP scrubber vessel, while the overall scrubber system, internal process equipment, and control systems were designed and supplied by others.
The vessel was fabricated at our Timaru NZ factory as a large-diameter, chemical-resistant GRP structure suitable for corrosive industrial environments. The final scrubber vessel measured 3.0 metres in diameter and approximately 8.5 metres in height, and was purpose-built to house a packed-bed scrubber system installed by the client.
Manufactured using corrosion-resistant fibreglass materials, the vessel was designed to provide long-term durability, structural integrity, and compatibility with aggressive scrubbing liquids and process air streams typical of galvanising operations.
Following fabrication, the GRP scrubber vessel was prepared for transport and supplied from New Zealand to Australia, demonstrating IFS’s experience delivering large custom composite vessels for export and integration into third-party process systems.
